Invest in What You Believe In

Notes from a CEO

I firmly believe that in business and investing you should always invest in what you believe in or want to support, but never blindly. Your investments shape the world we live in, and this is correct in all aspects of life. What you focus on grows.

In my opinion, the most important asset is your knowledge and education, and I am a big believer in continuous education. Education is a tool just like money.

In business, you never give up. You learn and adapt. Life is always changing, so having strong change-management skills will help you grow.

Always strive for excellence because there is no turning back. There is a misconception going around about failure — how you should embrace it and almost try to fail — but that’s not a good strategy. Never actively strive to fail. Always strive for excellence.

Failure is sometimes big and sometimes smaller. A small failure can be a missed alarm, and a larger one, a missed deal. But all mistakes come around because of lack of knowledge. Learning from mistakes means that you analyze the event or matter, breaking it down to see what to learn or do in order to improve the results.

Failure might come around sometimes, but it’s not a failure if you take responsibility and handle the matter. You might think that excellence or perfection is impossible to achieve, but if you can imagine it, you can achieve it — the time just varies. Perfection is a perception, so never settle; always strive to grow.
